Getting scratches out of chrome trim on 126
I've got an '89 300SEL - so it has alot of chrome trim around windows. The car gets polished and waxed 2 or 3 times a year, but the chrome doesn't get special attention (color is good, but there are visible scratches in chrome).
I look thru previous posts and found these 3 products: Blue Magic metal polish. Meguiar's "All Metal Restorer" Simichrome Does anyone have an opinion on the above products, and which one (or another product) would work to get some scratches out of my chrome, and what results can be expected? Thanks.

Are you sure that the 'chrome' isn't actually anodized aluminum? Check the thread nearby for a discussion of re-finishing ('polishing dull aluminum trim'). If it is indeed chrome, any of the products you mention should work. If aluminum, join the club of those who are looking for a 'quick fix', in search of the elusive 'green stuff' or whatever.. My searches on the web have so far convinced me that scratches in anodized aluminum cannot be removed without complete refinishing of the metal substrate and re-applying a protective coating, be it anodizing, laquer, wax, or whatever. Turns out to be a rather involved subject.
