I scrub my white corvette top with it all the time without a problem. the longer you leave the stain there the harder it will be to remove. you can also give Mequiars a call 800-545-3321 and see what they reccomend.

Sap on cloth top
Viki,
Be careful with what you use on the top. I have had Corvettes with white convertible tops and that material seems to have a more nylon material make up than cloth. They can stand up to scrubbing. MB tops are cloth. Even the black tops on vettes are cloth. I have good success with warm soapy water and I do not scrub the top. Just my 2 cents.

Pine sap is best removed from PAINT by use of rubbing or denatured alcohol. Quick and easy, with no bad side effects. You might try a bit of alcohol on an inconspicuous area of your top material first. If it does not discolor it, alcohol will get the pine sap off without much scrubbing at all.
Thanks, Richard |
