Hi there,

Yesterday morning I walked to my car and noticed mud all over the hood and roof. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that they were actually muddy footprints...someone decided to walk all over my hood and roof! I couldn't believe it...I also saw empty bottles of alcohol lying around my car too, so the person/people probably thought it was a funny game to play or something.
Well...now I've got some scratches as well as a big dent in my hood.
I saw a product on tv (I think it's called GT88) that claims to remove minor scratches and swirl marks. Does anyone have any experience with this product? A friend of mine has a tube, but I'm not sure if it is safe to use or not.

Thanks for any advice,
Satinder.

Skip it. Use what the automotove professionals and general car nuts have trusted for decades. I promise that Meguiar's, 3M, usual suspects have put more time and money into research/development than the entire "infomercial crowd" put together.

Step 1: wash the car with a specialized car wash, no dish soap please.

Step 2: dry the car with a chamois, synthetic chamois, or 100% cotton terry towel.

Step 3: go over the affected areas with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze (brown bottles) #9 Swirl Remover.

Step 4: remover said swirl remover and inspect the condition of the paint. If it needs more #9 then repeat steps 3+4 until satisfied.

Step 5: apply and remove Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7.

Step 6: wax with Gold Class liquid or Mirror Glaze #26.

Be sure to use 100% cotton (including the threads) terrycloth or diaper-cloth rags for the procedures above. After that is done you will probably want to call a paintless dent repair professional "Fix-A-Dent" or someone similar. They can usually pop the dents out from underneath without scaring the paint at all. It will cost a fraction of replacement and will also keep the afflicted area original which keeps resale MUCH higher. Give that a try and let us know if it does the trick.

Hope this helps...Lee

I think you are refering to GS-27.

I actually bought this crap, it is just a compound liquid, even the paint sticks in the full kit dont work.

So, no the stuff does not work so dont waste your money.
