79 300D. The left (driver side)
front fender molding popped up at the front tip. The 'rivet' seems broken at the fender side, the shaft goes through the fender but nothing to hold it tight. Can this be corrected or does it need a new molding altogether? Any clever solutions out there? Thanks ------------------ 1979 300D 133K miles 1989 300SE 1995 C280 |

I think he is referring to the long thin molding that runs along the whole side of the car. I think that if this is the case, he can just get new clips.

Thanks Larry, yes, the thin
molding that runs the length of the sides. The rivets didn't look replaceable but if ya say so... college try! ------------------ 1979 300D 133K miles 1989 300SE 1995 C280 |

Mine popped out and I put epoxy on what was left of the plastic rivet, shoved it back in and it holds for about a year. Been doing this for 2 - 3 years.
