Hello guys. I have a quick question about the headlight housing. Is that made of plastics or is that considered as glass? Maybe acrylic material?? Well, I am asking this because I wasn't sure if Windex can be used to clean headlight covers. Thank you for reading my post. Have a nice weekend.

PS: i think Talilight covers are plastics, correct? Can I use windex for rear taillights too? Thank you

Hi: Glass or plastic depends on the model. My 300E w124 USA/DOT headlights were glass over the headlights, plastic over the fog lights. My Euro lights are glass all the way across. The tail lights are plastic. Be careful with the windex - spray it onto a cotton cloth aimed away from the car, out of the wind, and clean the headlights with the windex cloth. The chemicals won't do your paint any favors if you overspray the windex onto the body while aiming at the headlights. Good luck

JCE,

hello. Thank you for your prompt reply. Yeah, I just read label on windex and it says it's safe on plastic as well. So, i guess it can be used on light lens regardless of what they are made of Oh thank you for telling me to be careful not to spray windex on paint. Sometimes, i am very careless...Thank you and have a great weekend.
