What do you use to wash your car?

I was wondering what products are used to wash your car? And, how does this effect the wax on the car?

Meguiars Gold Class car wash. I was my car when it is dirty so once a week or every couple of days depending on the weather.

I was told that the life of your wax depends on how often you wash it. I remember reading that a limo company figured out after x number of washes the cars needed to be re waxed. But those guys would wash them 2-3 times a day to keep the cars spotless. Time wasn't a factor.

For car wash soap I pretty much pick up any brand name on sale. I am currently using Armor all car wash soap. Does a good job.
I use a spray on wax after to top off the wax thats still there.

GC, Good stuff!
Another way to care for your wax is to use a detail spray after every wash.

The slickness returns after using QD which helps repel rain, bus, dust ans other contaminates that where wax away.

Meg's Gold Class or Eagle One Wet car wash. I'll also use Dawn if I need to strip off all the wax, and then re-wash with a car wash to get the dawn out.

Why not just wash with P21S Total Auto wash once. It will remove wax and also is safe for the paint so you can go straight to your next step. Wether it be claying, polishing or even paint touch up.
P21S Total Auto Wash
I use it dilluted as a bug reomver or even a wheel wash. I use it straight on the paint to remove waxes.

I use Blue Coral car wash......I'm not analretentive about what I wash it with....as it doesn't get washed as often as it really needs it.

I like the Mr Clean Auto Dry car wash, use it in a bucket as opposed to the Mr Clean dispenser, reminds me alot of a heavy duty version of P21.

I use the Zaino line of products. Amazing stuff! I also only use a cotton mit-egyptian cotton preferably.
With the Zaino products, you wash your car with Dawn first to strip the old wax. I find that once I apply all of the steps required with their products that I only have to re-apply the 'wax' portion once every six months or so. Water beads up until that point and beyond.

I've been using Eagle One for a few years now and really like the stuff. It does a good job of not stripping the wax off. I'm currently using it with that Eagle One spray wax. I'm happy with the results. If I use my buffer, I put on Meguiar's Gold wax.
