Remove tape residue from dash board..
The previous owner used some type of tape to hold the glove box door closed and after taking it off it left a some residue on the door and dashboard.
Would anyone know what I can use to clean this without harming the dashboard or blue glove box? Thank you,

Try a citrus based cleaner. They are usually gentle on objects.

Mayonnaise takes out sticker gunk, but I don't know how it would be on your dash. I've used it on windows.

Removing Tape residue
Well I have tried Goo Gone and WD40 and the stuff doesn't come out that easy. I'm not sure if I mentioned that the "gook" has been there for a long time, it is dried not sticky.
I even went a little further and used a utility knife, I thought I was doing a good job without marking up the dash pad but I was wrong!!!!! I tried very hard not to apply any pressure on the blade and just scrape the stuff off but after looking at it with better lighting I saw how wrong I was!! I guess I can give the mayo a shot, I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you all for your help ![]()
