Tacky Trim

All,

Pulled a 71 220D out of very extended storage and finalizing all the mechanical issue befor it goes in for minor body work and full repainting. The interior is is remarkable good shape but ever since I pulled it out last summer I have noticed areas under the dash (padded area above the kick panels) and the black interior trim along the windshield are tacky to the touch. I thought that they would dry out but they remain almost sticky.

Any thoughts...
Bill
