When to repaint/touch up ?
I have a 99 e-300TD only 30,000 miles..but I have picked up some scratches and a chip or two.
One day I would like to get it back to perfect paint, but I am a little reluctant to start on small imperfections. Could a good shop fix up little imperfections without messing up the whole car?

Sure a "good shop" will do anything for you as long as your paying the bill. Chip and scratch repair is an interesting art but pretty easy to pick up. You might want to give it a try on an inconspicuous spot, you can save some serious green.

richard,
It may help you decide which way to go with the paint on your car after visiting www.langka.com and www.drcolorchip.com . See how your car compares to the ones they show in the before/after pix. If 99.9% of your paint is in great condition, shooting the whole car for .1% may not be worth it, but touching it up correctly may be a better alternative. Bob
