Interior 29 year old sticker over defrost elements

Hi! I just got a 1983 240D.

Unfortunately it has a college sticker on the interior of the rear window over two of the heating elements.

I would really like this sticker gone, as I have ordered a custom-made aluminum plate that says "TOGETHER WE CHOSE A MERCEDES" just like the one in Guy Grand's 600 in The Magic Christian and the college sticker will cover it up. Also, I didn't go to that college & don't care about it.

Anyway, it is the clear plastic type. It's not brittle but it certainly doesn't want to come off. I don't want to use a razor because I like my defroster heating elements.

What should I do?

Thanks!

Michael

Heat it up with a hair dryer to get the adhesive to start to release, thats what we do to get graphics off old work trucks that we sell.

get the sticker wet with alcohol and rub with terry cloth. Minimum 70% rubbing alcohol.
