Removing window trim glue on a w123?
What does one use to remove the glue around the windows if the vinyl trim is taken off?
I cannot think of anything, and I would like to find out what others have done in case I take this trim off my 300D. I am not sure if I'll be removing the vinyl because only one window's trim is shrivelled. Now that the poor car cannot be garaged, as it had been, I suppose the other trim will end up shrivelled too. Somehow I think I'd prefer to see the pretty paint colour rather than more palomino (since I don't like tan very well) and that it would lighten things up a little visually. Then again it seems a shame to tear off a trim piece that is in good shape. ![]() |

Sorry the paint forum doesn't get much action. I'm actually planning on having those surfaces stripped and repainted with the rest of the car later on. That molded plastic that MB used on the door frames was a very poor decision.
