badge "downgrade"
i debadged my car because the trunked looked real busy and cluttered with 300e on the left and 2.8 on the right. i didn't want to leave just the 300e on because that wasn't right. but there are shadows were they used to be, particularly on the left. i am thinking of "engineering" a badge for it. i think the euro designation for my car might have been "e280" or "280e", which in mind is appropriate. i heard that some dealers might help me get the "280" from the c280 badge and the "e" from the e320's or e420's. any ideas?

I'd get a Euro 280E badge. If you like, I can put the request to my contact in Germany. Drop me a message if you'd like me to help out

The Euro badge is 280E. The characters are different to E280: the badge is in one piece (hence the underline), rather than 4 individual characters (without underline). It should have its own part number. I don't see why a dealer will not be able to back order it from Germany for you.
