Wheel well wondering

Hi all,

Just bought a 1993 SL500 a week back, and as usual I'm bringing it up to cosmetic perfection like all my other cars.

This SL - unlike my other MB's - has very nice wheel wells.

I don't normally get excited over something like this, but these interiors are very well finished, and don't have that thick tar undercoat that every other car seems to have.

How can I clean them? They seem to be painted, a bit like the bodywork, but putting a shine in there would look a bit over the top. So what can I use to get a nice black matt finish?

Your help please!

Ken Silver
