How to access IP full load screw?
Can anybody report experiences with adjusting the full load screw on the IP of the OM617A (1985 300D Turbodiesel) and OM603A (1987 300TD Turbo) engines?
How can the IP full load screw on the OM617A engine be accessed? Is it necessary (and sufficient) to take out the oil filter casing? Or is it necessary to take out the IP? What's the purpose of that back cover plate on the IP? Is the IP/vehicle operable while this plate is off? What are recommended nos. of turns for adjusting the screw, if trying to succeed in one go?
