Question about VACUUM.... pics plus my dog :)

Hey...

In the first pic I circled the place where I was testing with a Mity Vac. The pressure would go up to 10 but then would automatically drop to 5. Is it supposed to be at 5 ? Any input would be highly appreciated. I felt like posting a pew pics just for the heck of it. We don't see too many pics in this forum and it can get a bit boring at times. Here is some color to wake your eyes up.

PS. I do drive German Cars so I might as well own a german dog

I had to save this pic as a GIF so the quality of this particular one is not so great.

My new injectors that TOMJ balanced for me. Just installed them a few minutes ago and the car runs awesome. Remember, always get them balanced when buying brand new.

I love 240d's.

The dog is named Attila.
The boy is my son Orazio.

Your dog is cute too. I honestly never met a dog I didn't like.

Here's our new one. He's best friends with our 13 year old German Shepherd. He even helps me under the car!

It didn't take long to not only totally hijack this thread, but make it totally irrelevant to the forum.

So, while we're at it, here's my two Great Pyrenees doing what they do best - holding the floor down, and rendering my couch inaccessable.

Smile vacuum testing on 300D

I've been tearing what's left of my hair out over shift prob. my understanding is to place gauge with a tee at 3way conn. going to vac switch between and trannie vac line and conn. vac at idle should be about 20 psi, if not backtrack from conn to orifice on brake booster lin. fwd orifice feeds vac sw for trannie.mite need to clean orifice with x-small drill bit or safety wire. to test vac switch with mitey vac, plug mitey vac into 3way conn where vac line from brake booster comes in. leave vac gauge between 3way vac line to trannie hooked up. pump up mitey vac to 18 or so psi, then work throttle linkage and watch vac gauge in trannie line. it should go from 18psi down to 0at max throttle. also the first pic u showed was line to cabin for door locks and climate control . I liked everyone's canine pics. I've got 84 300D turbo I got month ago, pretty good shape but shift problems. also door locks, odometer, and fuel level indicator. that's all at the moment,ha,ha. hope this helps u with your troubleshootig bubbazook2
