My dome light does not work. I replaced the bulb, easiest and cheapest, but still no luck. I have 12 volts and ground present, so I "assume" it must be the auto dimmer printed circuit board. Is there any way to by pass the auto dim feature and avoid the $50.00 expense of a new dome light?

You can usually pick these up pretty cheap on Ebay. $10 or so. I just replace them when bad to avoid tracking down the short in them.
