Looks a little ruff, but it's listed as "MERCEDES 123 240D 300D 300CD FIRST AID BOX" at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34202&item=2489393036&sspagename=rvi%3A1%3A1 . If someone knows a part number for it or just the lid, I'd love to know it. I lost mine on the trip back from Maryland riding with the windows down on I-95. Air caught it and it flipped open and shattered into a million pieces. I'd rather go with a new one if available.

I thought the First Aid kit in TD's was in the compartment on the right hand side behind the back wheel?

Id love to have a part number for that.. in my 300DT the sun has made the cover brittle, which is probabaly going to be the case with any used first aid kit cover.. a new one wont be aged, therefore durable.

84W123DT has it correct, and it does matter what you call it if you drve for an hour to look at a wagon and it is a sedan. It also makes a difference if you are ordring a first aid kit cover for the wrong car.

I know where the First-Aid kit is in my '87 300TD . . . where is the fire extinguisher hidden? Must be the spare is filled or something . . . MB thought of everything else.

What oil thread is coming???

You mean you didn't call an ask about the car first and in the process make sure it is what you are looking for? Silly boy. Too many typo's happen, not to ask if it's a wagon, coupe or what ever. Most original owners would now likely be suffering from loss of mental sharpness, never turned a wrench on the car. All they did was just drove the thing and had it serviced at MB dealership or at some local indy shop.

I've talked to several original owners of these cars bought in the early to mid '80's and none knew anything other then it's a great car. One guy didn't even know if it was a turbo 300 or NA 300 W123 and when I mentioned W123 he corrected me and said it was an '83 300D.

So it pays to get as much info up front before heading out to look/buy a car. I called 3 or 4 times before I went for 3 hour drive to buy my 240D.

Show us the mercedes document that calls the models by those terms. I don't live in missouri but I do like the motto:

SHOW ME

Otherwise all you gotta do is look at the back of the car- all wagons say the same thing- TD; all coupe say the same thing CD; all sedans say the same thing D. If you call it something else it's because someone made it up.
