ALLDATA

I am about to replace both crank seals on my 95 E300 Diesel - 305 kmiles. Does anyone have an opinion about or experience with ALLDATA as a service reference? Any alternatives to recommend? I have never been able to locate a service CD for my car. It has always lead to a dead end.

Thanks, Friz

Could someone verify if they are actually able to get to useful information with those links. I tried a few cars at random, and after a few pages of decisions, it always says "Document not found!" I have had trouble getting this info in the past, and am never sure if it is my computer or if MB took it down. Thanks.

I tried the front and rear seal R&R at the link. After drilling down the front seal said document not available. The rear seal referred me to a service cd. No joy.

Startekinfo must be having some issues with that model. When selecting the "engine" category, it takes you to the "chassis" and sometimes to "owners manual".

You might try later tonight, when it may not be as busy, to see if you get different results. When I tried the W126 section, everything is working like it should.

Hmmm...., I tried the W126 area again and it appears to have difficulty as well. Probably overloaded the server and need to wait a while. (Too many "Wrenches" trying to access info I guess.)
