Electrical Wiring Question.
The car is a '95 E300 Diesel with the OM606 Non-Turbo engine.
The wires leading to my coolant temperature sensor, on top of the engine are damaged and need to be changed. The sensor that I am referring to is the sensor that measures coolant temperature and controls the Auxiliary fan's high speed mode. Its located near the top of the engine just to the left of the main fuel filter. The plug leading to it has two wires and these wires are corroded and damaged about a foot away from the sensor. I can see the bare wires, but can not reach the damaged section as its under the Intake manifold. I am trying to avoid the trouble and expense of removing the crossover pipe and the intake manifold in order to get fix the wires. I was wondering if someone knows where these two wires terminate, so that I can replace them with new wires end-to-end. Obviously one end goes to the coolant sensor plug, but where does the other end go? Thanks Phil
