Well, yesterday I cleaned the engine to remove years of grease and crud. I figured it was a good way to check for leaks. The only leak I found was where the cloth fuel line enters the number 4 & 5 injectors. Not a true leak, but more of a seep. Is this special hose, for high pressure maybe, or will any fuel line of proper size work?

Good Morning: The diesel fuel return hoses, braided cloth rubber, are not pressurized. I replaced mine recently with hose bought from napa. What is important is that the hose must be fuel type hose, and of the same inside diameter for proper volume flow, and outside diameter too so they fit the injector. But most if not all fuel hose of proper ID will have proper OD. These hoses return fuel un-used by each injector back to the fuel tank. |

I saw where I could "order" some, but would rather buy it locally. I hate waiting on UPS. I will pull a piece and head to my second home.... Auto Zone.
