Given the industry's predilection for using abbreviations wherever possible to make things easier to refer to, who in their right mind at M-B picked Active Service System as the name of choice?

If it's that much work just to do a reset then maybe it works out after all, but still. Somebody, somewhere had a chuckle over that one.

IIRC the abbreviation they used was "ASSYST". Didn't last long and they changed it to FSS
