Does anyone know the micron rating for the spin on fuel filters?

I did a forum search and came up with 1 micron.

Is this correct? That is very small. I would think your fuel filter would clog up very fast.

What micron rating does the gas station diesel pump have? I can see a large filter on most diesel pumps I go to.

Obviously different manufacuters probably make filters with different ratings for different applications. But I would think filters made for the MB diesels to all be about the same rating.
