What is your 0 - 60 time on each diesel you own?
My current engine warm 0 - 60 is 12 - 13 seconds. :)
My -15F cold 0 - 60 is 90 seconds, bad for the engine to do this; but I was running late. |

I'll test mine.
My sundial is too big to carry. Can anyone loan me a sand filled egg timer?
|
In oklahoma: 0-60 was 15 seconds every time.
In Colorado: 0-60 is 17 seconds. Slower off the line because of the thinner air. |
My wagon is normally aspirated first of all. Second, it has issues. It takes me 30-40 seconds to get to 60, and that if I'm on a flat grade. New injectors, so I guess it's the IP, or mis-adjusted linkages. Tranny is perfect.

I'll have to ask the snail that beat me what my 0-60 time is, I'm guessing it's close to 20 seconds . If I want speed, that's what my turbo boxter engined AWD tin can is for...

The 240D was 17 seconds before the head gasket blew.
E300 is 8.5. |

17 seconds???!!! thats flyin!!! my car goes 21-22. my wife says the car is faster today. must be the dense cool air. maybe it is the 60 lb wgt difference :) :) |
Rather consistent at 14-15ish

I've gotten less than 5 seconds to 60. :)

On a level road, 2400' elevation, speedometer verified with GPS, average of multiple runs, etc:
1984 300D: about 14 seconds 1987 300D: about 10.5 seconds 1994 E500: about 6.1 seconds (ok, so that's not a diesel. :p ) 1981 VW Dasher w/ 48hp 1.5L: Hard to read the sundial, but somewhere around 25 seconds with a tailwind. :nos: (<--we need an emoticon for the diesel forum that says "Got propane?") |
Oh, wait!
Perhaps I've been hanging around MBCanada too long. 0-60 mph, AH! :) |
240d: 15 seconds, but going downhill
240d: infinity going uphill |
240D who care's anyway. :stupid:
|
1982 300cdt
When I push the on-off switch, (I think that is next to the brake :D ) It can't be an accelerator, accelerate inplies fast  It does 0-60 in about 14-15 seconds.
