Is this crazy, or am I just cheap?

So I go by a couple of salvage yards today, just checking for some interior pieces and I could not believe the money these guys want. 75 bucks for a junkyard armrest! 50 for a sun visor! 200 for a dash that in 3 months will be completely cracked sitting in the sun as it is. (it's already going) 450 for a differential. This place has a huge collection of 126's, but I could wrap my entire interior in suede for those prices..
On another note, I pulled my dash apart to replace the diaphragms in the vacuum pods and guess what I find.. The connections from the rubber vacuum manifold to the solenoids are all pretty loose. Sealed them up and BAM, no problems with any of the actuators. If I was having ACC problems symptomatic of cracked diaphragms I'd check this first, it's next to the co-pilots left knee..
