Found some old Benz's on a lot...

with some their friends from England.

There's a lot of old iron behind this fence. Can anyone guess correctly where I took this photo?

Double Bubble Coupe!

Don't know where that is but the red car is a Fiat Abarth Zagato 750GT. AKA Double Bubble Coupe. Cool little car! Had the pleasure of working on one a few years ago. Lots of wood under that skin!

Could we guess?

Coventry?

This doesn't appear to be a "breaker's" (junkyard).

This must have been taken several months earlier.

Another guess

In that case I am going to guess Michigan, the picture taken in August or September. You were trying to confuse us with that :some friends from England" remark.

What sort of business was this? Surely not a junkyard.

Here in Miami, on NW 36th Street, just E of I-95, in a lot leased to BMW, a guy was collecting old Zimmers. There were about 20 of them on the lot. A Zimmer was a 1980's roadster, sort of a cross between an old Mercedes roadster and a Buick. The motor was Buick V-8, the wheels were wide 15 inchers and they were made in rather limited numbers. The spare tires were mounted on the fenders. There are usually some Zimmers on E-bay.

These were abused Zimmers. Several had been burned, all were in sorry shape. The numbers grew a bit after I saw them, then one day, they had all vanished.
