Yep, it's true! The
'Flower is on her way back to Area 51 from San Diego, passing through El Paso as of noon CST today.
Since her purchase (for $700
) here in September of '03, she traveled to Rocky Point, NY spending a winter there before returning to central Texas last spring. She then embarked on a trek via McMinnville, OR to Skagway, AK where she spent the summer. From Skagway she took Thing One down to San Diego this fall.
IMHO, this car deserves to be displayed on a pole in front of the Stuttgart factory as a true testamonial to the million mile taxi.
