I strongly recommend the original Bosch replacement units (combined holder and blade). www.**************.com seems to the cheapest at around $30 set including shipping.

I had OEM replacements on my 300sd and they were junk - smeared like crazy. The Bosch are great.

AFAIK you can get it through any glass shop. Securit(sp?) or whatever is written on the windows. My windsheild was replaced with a Pilkington, I'm probably more picky about my SDL then 99% of the guys on this forum and frankly that doesn't bother me. If they are good enough for Volvo its good enough for me.

If Memory serves me my 82's windows have the little three pointed star on them. I only have one non original window in my car on the drivers side. Ill probably start lurking around the salvage yards to get a matching pane to stick in the trunk for yet another project. I need to get my butt on gear though as the trunk is full of parts.

Sold the SD like that, usually you have to pay extra for the duct tape on the wipers but i did it for free

Windshields don't last in my area. Any windshield in the junk yard is going to be 20 years old and pretty well sand blasted. If even original, in my area 5 years seems old.

If you have to have that little star on it go to the dealer and order one.
