Rear CV joints or differential?
Hi guys,
I am having a slight problem with the rear of my 98 E300. During acceleration from a stop in a turn, I am hearing a clunking noise from the back of my car. After a bit of searching, I've narrowed it down to the cv joints or the differential. I already did a quick check to see if any of the boots on the cv joints were broken, none were. I am looking for any advice to further check the condition of the above. Thanks in advance. |
Most likely it's your CV joint, the one that's being loaded, i.e. if it happens on a left turn it's the right one.
