Rear CV joints or differential?

Hi guys,

I am having a slight problem with the rear of my 98 E300. During acceleration from a stop in a turn, I am hearing a clunking noise from the back of my car. After a bit of searching, I've narrowed it down to the cv joints or the differential. I already did a quick check to see if any of the boots on the cv joints were broken, none were. I am looking for any advice to further check the condition of the above. Thanks in advance.

Most likely it's your CV joint, the one that's being loaded, i.e. if it happens on a left turn it's the right one.
