My brother recently had to replace the dial pins in his 80 300D. The dampner pulley was spinning freely.

Well he has run it for about two months and it seems to have sheared the pins again. He said that the pulley can be seen to wobble slightly and was wondering if it is a problem with the pulley.

What would be the most likely cause of the dial pins shearing??
