replaced Starter in 78 300D

just got done changing out new starter. Thought it was my Neutral Safety. still don't have reverse lights. Did the switch and nothing. took out starter and got it tested. Good thing I got a discount! Repalced that and blam! all good. stil don't have reverse lights. Checked fuses and repalced bulbs. any comments?
