I'm going to keep her around
I finally made the "plunge"....rather than get rid of my 300D (great mechanically, bad body), I just bought four rust free Texas doors for her...a winter prep project for Spring install. There are several other spots on the car that need repair...actual holes that need to be patched. Has anyone had any experience with metal bonding adhesives. I see on some web sites that these products are a very good alternative to welding/brazing. These products appear to be an epoxy type material with glass beads which fill voids to ensure perfect seal.
I'm not looking to do a restoration.....I'd just like to get another 3 to 4 years out of this great car....patch holes, seal a couple of leaks, through on the new doors and do a Maaco paint job. Any comments on bonding adhesives, recommended type(s), source, etc.. Or, what about aluminum tape & bondo. Thanks, Mark
