break-in oil filter

I wonder if I can use a break-in oil filter as a regular one...The manual says clearly that it has much better filtering abilities...My om621 has the full-flow/by-pass 2-element setup and I am very disappointed with the qality of the plastic mesh full-flow element...The one I ordered from the MB local dealer(Mann made)split into two pieces, and the Knecht made are so badly moulded that 3 of the 6 oil outlets were clompletely closed I had to cut them open with small scissors What bothers me is that the manual says "MUST be changed after the first oil change (0,5km)" and the 2 element setup be applied....The break-in filter is a paper one (and cotton gin-free )

Any thoughts???
