Love my 87 300D

Just returned from a trip to see the kids. From the Jersey Shore to Lewisburg PA to Ithaca NY and back the same way. About 700 miles in two days.

The car ran perfect, averaged over 30mpg, cruised at 73-75mph, flat terrain, hills etc. What a great car!!

Recent DYI; glow plugs, starter, new seals in power steering pump.

Need to work on the sunroof. would have been nice to open it with this weekend's great weather.

Was on of your kids by any chance at Bucknell? I spent four years in Lewisburg as a Bucknell kid.

I can relate to your sentiments on the '87 300D ... every time I take mine on a road trip, I fall in love with the car more and more. It just responds so marvelously, rides so comfortably and gets great mileage to top it all off.

I need to work on the sunroof, too, by the by. Didn't bother me all winter, but now that the sun is out, I'm beginning to miss it. Esp. without any A/C on board ...

Yes, my daughter is a freshman at Bucknell and my son is a senior at Cornell in Ithaca NY.

I also have AC issues. Need to fill up with refrigerant. I have the stuff but just have not done it yet.

Neat, I hope she is enjoying her time there. I graduated last May and miss the place terribly. Lot of good memories there, running track and writing for The Bucknellian (the newspaper).

I live over the mountains now and come back to visit occasionally ... if you're ever on campus and see a white 300D rumbling around, give a honk or a wave!

One at Cornell and one at Bucknell ...not too shabby!!! You must be proud!

I'll bet! My starting salary for my first job out of school is a significantly smaller number than the yearly tuition I paid to go to Bucknell!
