What're these Shocks? & Mystery Squeak

Anyone know what kind of shocks these are? They're off my wagon. I put the KYB Gas Adjust shocks, pretty new, from my 240D on there because I thought this weird squeaking noise was coming from the drivers side shock. Got them swapped & the squeak's still there!! What should I check next? Ball joints? other suspension parts?

Thanks!

If I were a betting man, I would put a wager on the lower ball joint first, then the thrust rod mount, then the upper balljoint. (oh, first I would spray some lubricant on the swaybar mount to better my odds )

Tell us under what conditions that you hear the squeak and it will make it a little easier to suggest areas to look.

Also, check at the bottom of the page. Sometimes I have found an answer in the "Similar Threads".

SD, it usually happens when it bounces a little & sometimes when turning the wheels. It sounds to me like a rubber squeak. Thanks for the tip about the similar threads thing, didn't know that was there!

Maybe a look at the idler arm? What does the rubber like on it? If it looks ok, try a shot of silicone spray on the idler arm bushings and see if it goes away.
