Mercedes-Benz buses in Houston
Yep, for a very short time, Mercedes-Benz buses were operated by Houston METRO. The strange thing is that it was made in Brazil as the Mercedes-Benz O371, and when it got to Houston, it was rebranded as the Stewart & Stevenson Apollo T-40, although I've seen one as a motor home conversion with a big chrome three pointed star on the front, the METRO ones did not have this, only a three pointed star on the steering wheel. Anybody know if these buses used a Mercedes-Benz or Stewart and Stevenson diesel engine? I think it was a diesel powered bus, although it may have been a LNG powered bus. Let me know if you have some knowledge on this, I've been wanting to know about this "confused" MB bus for a very long time.
