Tool for rear of transmision

On the rear end of the 84 300 sd the speedometer gear needs to be shimmed so nothing binds. There is apparantly a special tool you need to buy in order to judge the correct shim. Does anyone have a used one they want to rent/sell or know where i could get one. Also any pictures of this tool would be helpful because like most mercedes tool i could easily replicate it.
