240D Speedometer question
At 439,864 miles my speedometer stopped working. I know it's a 240 and I've rarely gone over the speed limit, but I hate that my odometer stopped working. For a few weeks the speedometer would bounce around and make a grinding noise. But then the car fixed itself and it was dead on balls accurate for months.... then nada.
I clicked on the 'FastLane' link to find a cable but there was also a transmitter listed. Can you tell which one failed, the cable or the transmitter? And my next question would be how difficult is the cable to replace? The car is a 4 speed if that matters much. Thanks
