High Economy 190D 2.5 F/S
Taupe 1986 190 diesel 2.5, automatic. Has 358K kilometers; original paint, interior excellent - all power accessories work except a/c & antenna. Engine uses no oil between 5000K changes; transmission, radiator serviced every 50K. Only M-B parts used with the exception of recent center resonator and connecting pipe. All service records since new (I'm second owner - past 6 years). Engine is excellent, starts reliably in Ontario winters - enjoys 95% highway driving during 100kilometer per day commute & returns average 6.8 L per 100Km (7-7.2 winter). New or recent (past 2 years) parts: water pump, glow plug relay, thermostat, aux water pump, blower motor, rotors - front, Michelins, pushbutton climate control unit, tie rods. Extras: 2 snow tires on MB steel rims (used 1 season); assorted supplies of fuel and oil filters; 2 new (German-made) Beru glowplugs. ISSUES WITH THE CAR: Noisy lifters when cold, rust on jacking points, lower door (passenger side), left rear wheel well, 2inch spots on rear door beneath trim and both front quarter panels; some rust on brake lines and fuel lines; left marker light (tail) is out - needs more than bulb replacement. An economical, reliable highway-driven vehicle BEST SUITED to a do-it youself tinkerer OR for using the very robust drivetrain for a rust free body shell. Asking 1800 Canadian; will provide PM to interested parties. Questions welcomed - this is a great site btw. Thanks all - sorry in advance unable to provide photos.
