Help interpreting WIS test results please

I've got a 210 chassis diesel and have had the check engine light on and off for months now, mostly on. Code shows as P0180 which is the fuel temperature sensor. The WIS shows the tests to run to diagnose the problem. I've run them, but would love some help from someone who really knows WIS or who has gone through this particular code diagnosis before. Be willing to do this on or offline. It seems like an unusual code since I've not seen it here before, doesn't affect performance that I can tell and would entail me posting the WIS diagrams or working with someone who has a WIS in front of them. I really hate to throw parts at a problem and would like to fix it right upon first try.

Thanks.

I'd recommend you locate the sensor. Take a razor blade and cut back the tape on the wires a few inches and carefully inspect the wires for cracks. That caused the problem on a different sensor on my 210 diesel. The insulation on the wiring harness is very prone to cracking and an intermittent short will create an annoying problem fro you.

I also have the CEL with the P0180 fuel temperature sensor code. Sure would like to see the resolution. TIA
