85 300td $500

I was looking through Craig's list DC and found a 300TD for $1000. I called the owner and was told it runs pretty good, no rust (hmm) body good, interior good, miles unknown, back glass replaced with Plexiglas, eggshell color. I didn't get a chance to see it and anyway decided against it, but got an email that they'd sell for $500. If interested, call # below. Sorry, it's too far from me to check it out for you.

"1985 MERCEDES-BENZ 300TD WAGON. I USE THE CAR AS MY 3RD CAR AND ITS BEEN WORKING OK FOR ME. NOW IS THE TIME TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE I DON'T NEED 3 CARS. THE VEHICLE HAS SOME MINOR MECHANICAL/COSMETIC DEFECTS AND NEEDS SERVICING, BUT IS STILL IN REASONABLE RUNNING CONDITION (RUNS WELL). I WILL ACCEPT THE BEST OFFER.

PLEASE CALL: 202 - 396 - 3710 LET'S MAKE A DEAL!!!!"

"The engine and transmission is good....and the car is running.* You can get the car for $500.00 and use as parts or fix-up.* (back light don't work, need brakes, etc. these are some of the things that would need fixing to pass inspection.* "

Another

Also found a one owner 240D for $1400 - have not called as I'm not looking for one. Pix make it look a little tired.

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/car/88262156.html

I imported a brand new 240 Diesel Mercedes Benz 1982 and have been the only owner. This manual, 4 gear, 4 door w/American Air Cond. installed has served me nobly. Lots of mileage, but thoroughly, meticulously cared for. Great body, great condition, fit and running. $1400 or best offer. Call 202-232-7342

Some guy near my house is selling an 80-something blue TD turbo for 500 bucks.

I appreciated his honesty though, he told me right from the start that it was strictly a parts car because of all the rust.

I really really really want a wagon, though.

teehee.

Look at the paint on the 240. doesn't come close to matching. Doors are completely different color.

Cheers,

Bill

I called on the 300TD, some lady answered the phone who sounded like she didn't have a clue what planet she was on and told me "you must have the wrong house"

tenknots, can you try and get ahold of whoever you talked to before?
