Troy, if you filled the filter with an additive, which would be a clean-filtered liquid already then you need not worry about inlets or outlets. After a few minutes of running the additive would have moved out of the filter and either through your injectors or through the bypass jumpers from the injectors back to your fuel tank....it could not cause the non-start situation a week later. The problem you are having a week later is probably something new or some other latent problem that just got worse.

Troy.....stupid question but has anyone checked your fuel tank for water?
With all the rains and floods in the east there has been some reports of service station tanks being contaminated with water..... WVO and diesel fuel have an affinity for H2O (they absorb). |
haven't checked for water. Actually, the mechanic called and said he got my car started. it is a blocked catalytic converter. he didn't fix it though. said it would cost too much and i should take it to midas. LOL. I called midas and they're like "we don't even have that car listed". figures. I'm going to search on line for one and have a mechanic friend of mine put it on.
thanks for your help. |
