What kind of a hassle to R&R a 87 300D head?
I have lots of years of mechanical experience (43). I have never pulled a head on the 603 diesel. This guy has a '87 wagon and a '95 that needs the heads R&R'd. What kind of a hasle is involved in these heads? I know about the '87 heads cracking. What about the '95?

The '87 is probably a 4hour job for the first time, the '95 I'm not sure.

Is that 4 hour to get it off or off and replaced?

I spent about 4hours removing my first one, but that was outside at a yard w/o any power or air tools.
I've never removed another one with the engine in the car.
