OM 602 delivery valve seal replacement
My '87 190D 2.5 Turbo has had a "surging" idle condition since I've owned it. I intend to replace the delivery valve seals, but have not purchased the seals yet. Do I simply need the O-rings, or are there copper crush washers that I will also need?

You will need both if you decide to do the delivery valves. But if I were you I'd diagnose the surging further. A leaking delivery valve would cause a miss and rough idle, not surging. How high does the engine surge and does it happen all the time or just sometimes? Have you found any pattern?
