How do I get mileage badges?

I want to know how to get those mileage badges. I will wear them with GREAT pride on the front of that car...

And keep in touch with me and you will see the speedo at 120 with 500K on it...

I drove my 323ci tonight for the first time in a week and the great thing about going from the SDL to the BMW is the BMW seems like a slot car... WOW... Wonder what the contrast will be when I get a used M3 within a year, cause I know the SDL will still be here...

1980 300 SD for sale

The car has a solid body (faded blue paint), nice interior, new tires and battery. The rear end is making a clanking sound, so it may be going out. Engine is strong (225,000 miles) and burns only a quart or less of oil between regular changes. $400 or best offer. Tel. 805-569-0380 or e-mail: kevinmck@silcom

They are 3 & 3/4", cost $20 and are chrome covered brass, with baked enamel paint.

Kevin, you might want to also mention your car in the classified section of this website?

I know of a local 1990 350SDL for sale, 95k miles. I called on the car and it seems real nice, the guy sounds as honest as you can be. Right off the bat he said it was burning oil and he and his mechanic can't figure it out. I didn't have the heart to tell him his engine was about to blow. He described classic symptoms of a rod bending. Its a shame those W126's are real gems.

However if the car is real cherry and assuming the bottom end is shot it can be saved. He is asking $4400 for it and I bet if someone offered him $4k he would take it. Head over to your local MB dealer and order a 350 short block for $5k and for $9k you have a mint (95k mile) W126 diesel with basicaly a new engine. MB also includes a 4 year warranty on said short block.

If I wasn't so attached to my SDL I might jump on this one. As it is I am tempted to look.

If anyone is interested I would be willing to do a little leg work for them. I have the guys number. However don't waste my time on a passing interest.

well

that is a good plan but if it were me i would go with the 3.0 liter block.

if and when my 350 goes bad that is what i will do. i think the problem is block flex. the 350 when bored out so large is too flexible.

This guy has some instances of misrepresenting cars, it seems.
Otherwise, it appears to be a good deal.

'82 240D $3500 BIN
85K miles

Proceed with caution.
If you use the BIN...
I would not send this guy a cent until I inspected the car.

'81 300SD $3800
180K miles

This auction ends in 4 hours.
If it goes for under $5K, looks like a great deal.
Real clean Cali car.

( closing price was $4700 )

Now THAT is a time capsule.

As has been mentioned before, you have to wonder about the seals, etc.
The car sat for the last 15 years.

Wink 75 240d

i am trying to sell my 240D, which is in great condition as far as the interior and exterior. i just also ordered new glow plugs and a new quick starting kit as well as a heating core cord. a big part of me having to sell it is because my parents dont at all want me to have a rear wheel drive for the winter here. with just the little bit of winter we have already had, the roads have been horrible. the car (body) has less than 18,000 miles on it, and the engine has around 150,000. what should i expect for it? if anyone here is interested let me know. i just want to find a buyer that will take care of it, and one who will really appreciate it. thanks!!!
