Non-silicon gasket sealer for water pump....Hylomar?

Okay, so I'm replacing my water pump, and I've read that it's not a good idea to use silicon as it can harm the engine.

What's a good non-silicon gasket sealer? I picked up some Permatex "Hylomar HPF" gasket dressing and flange sealant. I can't tell if it has silicon or not. Is this acceptable, or does anyone recommend something else?
