Just a thought if you are really stuck and cannot get the seat out. If you can see or access the heavy cable at the starter you could use that as the positive battery terminal and any ground under the hood should give you a battery charge circuit for your charger. The largest wire terminal on the alternator will also go to the positive battery terminal and might also be a good positive charge point if accessable. Using a moderate current battery charger should be safe. Although I will not heavy boost a car with electronics myself. Others may agree or disagree. I am not familar with your engine layout so do not know the difficulty if any of getting to either terminal.

On your car there's a jumpstart terminal under the hood with a black cover over it.

If for a reason you have to get the battery to a charger try phoning mercedes roadside assistance program. It's free and with a little luck those working there will know how to remove the back seat or find someone to tell you how.

On my '96 E300, the jump-start terminal is on the driver's side under the hood, behind the ABS controller. Small (about 3x4") black and plastic. Flip it open to reveal the conductor.

To remove the rear seat cusion, open a rear door and feel around the bottom of the cusion itself at the front outer edge for a small relief. That's the catch. Pull up to release the catch then do so for the other side. The cusion then comes right out.

Note that the manual says to always disconnect the battery negative terminal before charging. I can't say that I'd do this myself, but there it is.
