best way to remove 617 air cleaner bracket

just got a "new" air cleaner bracket....

new = one from junkyard but additional steel has been welded on to increase the brackets strength so it dont break like the previous. what is the best way to go about removing the old one...i tried a few months ago but i couldnt get to the lower nut/bolt to get the thing out.... thanks kris

That lower bolt is a pain to get to, but you have to...you must...there is no other way. Try different combos of wrenches and extensions...eventually you will find one that lets you get to it.

			Good luck!

If I recall, a wobble extension did the trick for me.

I think I use 1/4" drive at the fastener end (for more clearance) and then switch to 3/8" drive with an assortment of extensions...
