reman injectors

common sense tells you if you see "rem inj for MB" on them means reman injectors right

i found that out while poking around my car today trying to see if i have heat... yes i know you dont need heat in florida.. but im skinny i have no insulation and i like to be toasty reminds me of my life i had in CT also my glowplug light seems to have stopped working when i first got the D it lit up when id turn the key and wait.. now it does not.. although the D started fine in 40 degrees F

another concern.. i started my car and the gas guage was on R i turned to fiddle with the climate control and it was up to 1/4 tank.. ooook

Yes, generally speaking "reman inj" means remanufactured injectors. My bias is to take the existing injectors to a shop specializing in redoing injectors for fleet trucks. No telling if the shop just cleaned injectors (~$12 each) or rebuilt injectors (~$65 each).
Are you certain your fuel guage was not just coming up on it's own unrelated to adjusting climate control? Fuel guages are of the type known as "slow attack / slow recovery". This is so the guage is not bouncing around as fuel sloshes in the tank.
Check the fuse for your glow plugs first, then go from there.

Glow plugs typically last about as long as a 100 watt light bulb! That is that you can expect them to burn out and need replacement from time to time.

Generally, 1 or 2 GP's burned out will create hard starting, or, 1 in four GP's out, hard starting....2 in 5 or 6, hard starting.......on the OM603 diesels, when 2 GP's are burned out, the glow light will not come on! Not sure if the same applies to the 240's four banger, or 5 bangers too!

In my 240 D one glow plug out will kill the light.
