HELP!!! servo removed, won't turn off now!?!?

1980 300SD turbo.

My servo failed, so I removed it and bypassed it to route heat to the cabin while I look for a replacement. However, she won't turn off now.

Looking to drive this to work tomorrow morning...

Just plug in the vacuum lines to the servo again and tie it in place on the fender. You've got a vacuum leak with it removed. Alternatively, there's a branch of the vacuum lines near the oil filter housing that goes to the climate control system. Disconnect that branch from the main line and plug the main line. But if you do that you wont be able to control the heat at all. If you plug the servo back in, you should at least get the default settings and stop the vacuum leak.

It's back in place now, but....

Two problems.....the servo doesn't seem to function, as all my controls in the interior except defrost do not seem to work (same as when it was completely removed.

Second is the car still won't turn off.

Press the stop lever on the engine... Youll be doing this untill you fix your vacuum leak

Gold tees and electrital tape are the best tools you can have, get the shortest tees u can find though, cause you have to break the tips off the longer ones...

Wrap a connector tightly with electrical tape, and stick the tee in it... If that fixes it great, if not try another line

Is the car turned off right now???

You messed up a vacuume line somewhere, start by plugging one of the lines off the line directly from the pump to the booster. If it shuts off then, thats the lines thats leaking... If not you either plugged the line that controls shutting the car off, or you didnt plug the leaking one

It's off now, no worries there.

I did the alda and banjo bolt as well...plus the crossover valve. Guess I should check on those too. Thank for the help.
